The UK Platform Engineering team is responsible for the cloud infrastructure and operational platforms that underpin several of Vix's critical transport solutions. We design, build, operate and continually improve secure, scalable environments supporting rail and public transport customers across production and non-production environments. We're looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer who enjoys solving operational challenges, modernising infrastructure, automating repetitive tasks and working closely with product, development and customer teams to deliver reliable services. The Opportunity As a Senior Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for the operational ownership and continual improvement of multiple customer-facing and internal platforms hosted primarily on AWS. You'll work across a diverse technology estate including Linux and Windows servers, AWS cloud services, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring platforms and security tooling. The role combines project delivery with day-to-day operational support, allowing you to influence platform architecture while helping ensure high service availability for our customers. We are seeking experienced engineers with a strong background in operating and supporting production cloud platforms who can confidently take ownership of technical work from the outset.
