Viable Solutions is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to join our team and deliver scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure solutions for enterprise clients.
You will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing AWS cloud environments, supporting cloud migration programs, and driving cloud best practices across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture
Design, deploy, and manage scalable and resilient AWS cloud infrastructure solutionsArchitect highly available, fault-tolerant, and cost-optimised cloud environmentsDefine and implement AWS landing zones, account structures, and multi-account strategiesEvaluate and recommend AWS services aligned to business and technical requirementsSupport and lead cloud migration initiatives โ lift and shift, re-platforming, and re-architectingInfrastructure as Code & Automation
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormationAutomate provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasksImplement and maintain configuration management tools โ Ansible, Chef, or PuppetBuild reusable IaC modules and templates for consistent cloud deploymentsSecurity & Compliance
Implement AWS security best practices โ IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, and GuardDutyDesign and enforce cloud security policies, network controls, and compliance frameworksConduct security assessments and remediate vulnerabilities across AWS environmentsEnsure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements โ CIS benchmarks, NIST, or ISO 27001Networking
Design and manage AWS networking components โ VPC, subnets, route tables, NAT Gateway, Transit Gateway, and Direct ConnectImplement and manage DNS solutions โ Route 53Configure load balancers โ ALB, NLB, and CloudFrontDevOps & CI/CD
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud infrastructure deploymentsWork with DevOps tools โ AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOpsSupport containerised workloads โ Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and HelmImplement GitOps practices โ ArgoCD or FluxMonitoring & Reliability
Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions โ CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or DatadogDefine and manage SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for cloud servicesConduct capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimisation reviewsSupport incident response, root cause analysis, and disaster recovery planningRequired Skills & Experience
5โ8+ years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure rolesStrong hands-on experience with AWS core services โ EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS (mandatory)Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code โ Terraform or AWS CloudFormation (mandatory)Strong AWS networking knowledge โ VPC design, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and Route 53Experience with CI/CD pipelines โ AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOpsStrong understanding of AWS security โ IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, Security Hub, GuardDutyExperience with containerisation โ Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and HelmProficiency in scripting โ Python, Bash, or PowerShellExperience with monitoring tools โ CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, or DatadogStrong understanding of cloud cost optimisation and FinOps principlesExperience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
