We're looking for a DevOps & Automation Engineer to join a secure defence technology team. You'll work in a highly skilled, collaborative environment, building and maintaining secure infrastructure and automation solutions across complex programmes. This is a fully site-based role supporting highly secure client environments, where you'll work alongside experienced engineers to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions. What you'll be doing Design and implement DevOps and automation solutions for secure infrastructure.Develop scripts, services and configurations using Infrastructure as Code.Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling.Take ownership of automation projects from design through to delivery.Provide technical guidance and mentor other engineers.Troubleshoot infrastructure, automation and integration issues. What you'll bring Strong experience with Microsoft and Linux technologies in secure environments.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.Experience with Ansible and Terraform.Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash or Python.Experience with GitLab or similar CI/CD tooling.Good understanding of network security and system integration. Nice to have Experience with Kubernetes or other container platforms.Knowledge of virtualisation technologies.Experience across on-premises, hybrid or multi-cloud environments.Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.Understanding of secure design principles and security frameworks.Experience contributing to solution design and technical documentation.
