Adtran is looking for an outstanding Full-Stack Software Engineer to work on the new SDO Controller Web UI and Mosaic Network Controller Web UI projects. These applications are used by network operators to manage their networks built upon Optical Transport devices.  The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and continually improving our products using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.  The  Software Engineer will be the first engineer in the team responsible for full-stack development and the only engineer responsible for GUI development. Other teams within the organization already include engineers working on full-stack development.    Duties And Responsibilities The primary responsibility will be developing front-end and some back-end features for the SDO Controller and Mosaic Network Controller productDesign and implement new product features using React, Java and Spring technologiesDesign or assist in design new features for the SDO controller productDevelop an enhancements for existing softwareContribute to feasibility studies of needed software developmentDocument the design including features definition and architecture    Participate in design reviews and code reviewsDevelop unit and component-level tests for implemented software modules and enhancements Coordinate development activities across teams while meeting project schedules Fix software bugs found during all testing phasesWork with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases   Basic Qualifications  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required   At least 4 years of professional experience as a Front-end or Full-stack Developer A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering  At least 2 years of experience developing React-based applicationsExperience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.jsExperience with React test frameworks (Jest or similar)  Experience developing UI components using Storybook and collaborating with UX designers using Figma or equivalent tools Programming skills in Java (good knowledge of Java 11 and Java 17) Knowledge of software construction techniques Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and design patterns Knowledge of Linux system Experience with JUnit Experience designing and consuming REST APIs.
