Role Description
As a Senior Full Stack FDE, you manage the technical delivery and integration of NestAI’s autonomous systems for our partners.
This is not a standard implementation role; it is a high-stakes engineering position where you tailor our products to the complex, real-world environments of our most critical partners.

You will build, adapt, and scale modern web applications, decision-support interfaces, and backend integration layers directly against complex customer environments.
We need a versatile software engineer who can jump into unfamiliar codebases, connect disparate software ecosystems, and deliver intuitive, high-performance user experiences where software meets the mission.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Mission-Specific Full Stack Engineering: Take technical ownership of building, customizing, and deploying client-facing web applications, operational dashboards, and backend services.API & System Integration: Design, develop, and deploy robust APIs and backend services (Node.js/Python/Go) that connect NestOS cloud and edge modules with external situational awareness and command systems.Frontend Execution: Build responsive, high-performance decision-support UIs (React/TypeScript) designed for low-latency, mission-critical operational environments.AI-Driven Workflows: Utilize modern AI-assisted software tools to accelerate development velocity and rapidly prototype client-requested features without sacrificing core platform security or reliability.Collaborative Problem Solving: Work directly with customer technical teams and internal product R&D to translate operational user needs into scalable full-stack features, feeding field feedback back into our core product roadmap.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer, with a proven track record of shipping complex web applications and backend systems.Strong proficiency across the full web stack, including modern frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) and server-side ecosystems (Node.js, Python, or Go).Practical experience building/consuming RESTful APIs, WebSockets, and database management (SQL/NoSQL), along with hands-on familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and deployment pipelines across cloud or on-prem environments.You thrive on changing scenery.
You are a quick study who adapts rapidly to new technical environments, diverse codebases, and shifting customer priorities.Good interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently interface with external partners, understand user workflows, and translate complex operational needs into software realities.Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10% of worktime) to client sites within Europe.Advantages: Experience in client-facing technical delivery or technical consulting.
Prior exposure to mapping/GIS libraries (e.g., Mapbox, Cesium), data visualization, or defence/aerospace environments.

Practicalities
Employment is subject to applicable security screening (including SUPO, where required).
Currently NestAI is focusing to hire talent already located in Finland, and this position requires occasional on-site presence and travel to customer sites.
Remote work from abroad is not unfortunately possible.
