Backend Integration Developer

As demand continues to grow, we're hiring multiple Backend (Integration) Developers to join our Melbourne team on 12-month fixed-term contracts. If you enjoy solving complex integration challenges, building scalable backend services, and working with modern cloud technologies, this is an opportunity to make a real impact. You'll play a key role in designing, building, and supporting enterprise-grade integrations that connect our products, customers, and platforms. Working alongside experienced engineers, you'll help deliver secure, reliable, and high-performing solutions that support thousands of users. What you'll be doing: Design and develop scalable backend services using Node.js and NestJS.Build secure, high-performance REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven integrations.Develop integrations across enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, and third-party services.Build middleware and microservices that transform and orchestrate data across distributed systems.Ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity across complex integration landscapes.Define API standards, authentication models, and integration best practices.Implement secure integration patterns using OAuth2, JWT, API keys, rate limiting, and related technologies.Investigate and resolve complex integration and production issues.Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment processes.Produce clear technical documentation for APIs, services, and integration patterns.Partner with engineering teams to shape integration strategy and architecture.Share knowledge and mentor others on backend engineering and scalable integration design. Your Talents…You'll bring experience in backend engineering and systems integration, along with a passion for building reliable, scalable software. js and NestJS in production environments.Designing and delivering complex enterprise integrations.REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and asynchronous processing.Messaging platforms such as SQS or similar event brokers.Authentication and authorisation technologies including OAuth2 and JWT.Integrating with enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM, identity providers, or external APIs.PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DocumentDB, or similar databases.Microservices, distributed systems, and multi-tenant architectures.AWS cloud services and ideally exposure to ServiceNow.Containerisation, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation.Troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support.Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical teams.
