Description

Role: Configuration/ Deployment Specialist Location: Warsaw, Poland Contract type: Freelance, long term 12 months + Languages: English B2 (Minimum level confirmed by CEFR), Work Model: Remote Education Requirement: Minimum level of education: Level 6 – bachelor’s degree (ICT relevant degree is mandatory), Security/Integrity: Personal Security Clearance is not required, Daily rate: 350 EUR DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS The external service provider will perform the following typical tasks and responsibilities: Deployment Support: Support the ICT team in application build, integration, and deployment for both backend and client devices (mobile, PC). Environment Management: Support the ICT team in system environment management and configuration.Testing Support: Assist the project team in system tests.System Monitoring: Monitor and analyze the functioning, performance, and health of the system daily.Issue Coordination: Report and coordinate technical issues related to system environments.Vendor Liaison: Coordinate and communicate with system vendors/contractors regarding all technical issues on behalf of Frontex ICT.Cloud Support: Provide support to ICT staff and project teams in the deployment of development environments in Azure. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The candidate should possess the following knowledge and skills:Management Expertise: Excellent knowledge of software deployment management and good knowledge of software release management.Methodologies: Knowledge of RUP and/or AGILE methodologies.Technical Knowledge: Understanding of application servers, RDBMS, and development tools.Tooling: Knowledge of building and deployment tools (e.g., Ant, Azure Pipelines).Communication: Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings and excellent communication skills.Collaboration: Capability of working in an international/multicultural environment. SPECIFIC EXPERTISE (Mandatory)Experience with CI/CD management of mission-critical complex enterprise systems. Strong experience administering and troubleshooting ASP.NET applications hosted on Microsoft IIS.Deep understanding of IIS configuration (app pools, sites, bindings, SSL certificates, and authentication).Knowledge of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts.Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications. Mandatory knowledge of Azure DevOps.Strong experience with Git-based workflows.Ability to automate application deployments and environment configuration updates.
