Job Description :- We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a Global Enterprise Technology Team responsible for the development, modernization, security and operational reliability of mission critical information distribution system and file transfer platforms. Candidate will play a key role in improving the security posture, resilience, and overall health of our platforms. This includes supporting vulnerabilities remediation, reducing technical debts, modernizing legacy applications, and improving reliability through automation, observability and engineering best practices Required Skills: Programming and Software Engineering Strong programming skills in Java; Java 17 or later is preferredExperience with Python and/or JavaScriptHands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST API developmentSolid understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering principles Security & Platform Reliability Understanding of secure software development practices and common application security risksFamiliarity with vulnerability management, dependency upgrades, and remediation activitiesKnowledge of secure coding principlesUnderstanding of high availability, resiliency and fault tolerant system design concepts Infrastructure & Systems Good working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and shell scriptingFamiliarity with networking protocols such as HTTPS, SSH/SFTP, SMTP, TLS and TCP/IPExperience working with relational databases such as Postgre/SQL, Oracle or SQL Server Modern Engineering Practices: Experience with Git-based development workflowsFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation testingExposure to container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift Professional Skills: Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to investigate complex production issues and drive them to resolutionGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively in a global team environment Preferred Qualifications: Experience with distributed systems and messaging technologies such as Kafka or IBM MQFamiliarity with enterprise file transfer platforms and managed file transfer platformsKnowledge of cryptography, PGP, Key management and certificate managementExperience to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCPExperience with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Promotheus or OpenTelemetryFamiliarity with Software Composition Analysis, Static Application Security Testing, and vulnerability scanning toolsExperience with workflow automation technologies such as TemporalInterest in DevSecOps, Platform Engineering and large-scale modernization initiatives Responsibilities: Security and Platform Hygiene: Support remediation of application and infrastructure vulnerabilities identified in security scanning, penetration testing and risk assessmentsUpgrade and maintain application frameworks, third party libraries, and platform components to support and secure versionsReduce technical debt and improve application maintainability, stability, and securityPartner with cyber infrastructure teams to address security findings and implement remediation plansContribute to secure software development practices and security by design principles Resilience & Reliability Engineering: Improve platform reliability, resiliency and recoverability through system enhancements and automationParticipate in root cause analysis and remediation of production incidents with a focus on preventing recurring issuesDevelop and improve monitoring, alerting and observability capabilities to strengthen system health and operational visibilityIdentify and address single point of failure, performance bottleneck and operational risksSupport disaster recovery, business continuity and platform hardening initiatives Application Development & Modernization: Design, Develop and support enterprise applications, APIs and platform servicesModernize legacy systems through adoption of contemporary frameworks, architectures, and engineering practicesDevelop integrations between internal systems and enterprise platformsContribute to POC initiatives and evaluation of emerging technologies DevOps & Automation: Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines to improve software quality and delivery efficiencyAutomate testing, deployment, compliance, and operational processesSupport containerized and cloud ready application architectures Thank you for your interest in TCS.
