Junior Engineer
Build real product work with support from the team.
You will use TypeScript, React, and API fundamentals while learning the rest of our stack.
What you will do
Ship scoped product improvements across driver, garage, booking, and service-record workflows.
Read existing code before changing it: trace data flow, find where components are used, and understand module boundaries.
Build with TypeScript, React, Tailwind CSS, Git, terminal workflows, and basic HTTP/REST APIs.
Write tests for non-trivial logic and follow the test patterns already in the repo.
Debug with browser devtools, stack traces, network requests, logs, and targeted console output before asking for help.
Use coding agents for clear tasks, then review the output, run checks, and make sure you understand the code.
Pick up small improvements when they are in scope: clearer names, missing tests, rough UI states, or outdated docs.
What we are looking for
Genuinely solid TypeScript, not just passing familiarity.
React fundamentals: hooks, state, component thinking, and comfort reading existing UI code.
Tailwind CSS experience and a basic understanding of utility-first styling.
Git basics: branches, pull requests, resolving conflicts, and asking before adding new dependencies or patterns.
Comfort in the terminal: navigating a repo, running scripts, reading logs, and checking failures.
Curiosity and coachability.
Rough edges are fine; low initiative is not.
You can ask for help with context: what you tried, what happened, what you expected, and what you ruled out.
Bun, Elysia, Drizzle, TanStack Router, Effect, and Railway are things you can learn here.
Effect is not expected on day one.
Interest in the domain helps.
You do not need automotive experience, but you should care about garages, bookings, service records, and how the product is actually used.
