Role: Azure & DevOps Cloud Engineer
Work Model: Hybrid in Malta
Salary: €60,000-70,000 depending on experience
This is a hands-on role suited for people already based in Malta, someone who enjoys infrastructure engineering, automation, continuous improvement, and collaborating with developers to deliver software efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities:
Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Azure infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.Ensure the cloud platform is secure, scalable, highly available, and performs efficiently.Manage core Azure services, including App Services, Virtual Machines, Storage, Networking, and Identity.Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates).Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise cloud infrastructure, performance, and reliability using Azure monitoring tools.Implement Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Key Vault, Managed Identities, and network security.Support incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous platform improvements.
Requirements:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or DevOps role.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure, Azure networking and Azure services.Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates.Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production environments using tools such as Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.Knowledge of Azure security best practices, including RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, and secure networking.
