Responsibilities:
As a (Senior) Software Engineer in our Engineering Retail Platforms team, you and your team will be responsible for building, operating, enhancing, and maintaining the IT landscape that supports the business capabilities required for managing and planning the non-food business.
You'll play a key role in shaping robust operational planning processes within this domain.Develop end-to-end microservices across the full technology stack (frontend, backend, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD), writing clean, high-quality code every day.Ensure AI is a first-class citizen within our services and leverage agentic coding to boost engineering productivity.Learn from our AI communities and use a broad range of cutting-edge LLM and AI tools to help your team achieve the highest engineering standards while supporting your own professional growth.Maintain high quality standards through code reviews, pair programming, Test-Driven Development (TDD), fast feedback loops, and engineering best practices covering code style, testing, security, performance, and resilience.Collaborate and learn alongside experienced software engineers from other development teams.During each iteration, you'll have dedicated innovation time to work on projects that interest you.
Your profile: You keep discovering with us.
You hold a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification.You have at least four years of professional experience in software development and a passion for modern technologies.You are a true team player who enjoys working in cross-functional agile teams (Scrum/Kanban).Minimum qualifications
Strong knowledge of a JVM language (such as Kotlin or Java) and at least one additional modern programming language (such as JavaScript or TypeScript).Solid understanding of software development concepts and the ability to apply them in large-scale applications.Experience with architectural patterns such as microservices, serverless functions, and frontend monoliths, with a good understanding of their trade-offs.Hands-on experience with Git, DevOps, Terraform, Docker containers, and CI/CD automation.
Preferred qualifications:
Experience developing applications using Vue.js/Nuxt 3, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.Experience applying AI in software engineering.Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another major cloud provider for microservice-based architectures.Strong foundation in software design patterns.
An architecture certification (e.g., iSAQB) is considered an advantage.Excellent written and spoken English skills.
