Summary

A growing enterprise is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their internal ICT team. You will be responsible for building, integrating, and deploying applications across backend services and client devices including mobile and desktop platforms. The role involves managing system environments, conducting system tests, monitoring performance and health of production systems, and serving as the primary technical liaison with external vendors and contractors. You will also support the team in deploying development environments on a major cloud platform. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines for complex enterprise systems, extensive administration and troubleshooting of web applications on a leading application server, and a strong understanding of web server configuration, application pools, SSL, and authentication mechanisms.

Description

Tasks: Support ICT team in application build, integration and deployment – both backend and client devices (mobile, PC)Support ICT team in system environment management and configurationSupport project team in system testsMonitor and analyse functioning of system on daily basisMonitor system performance and healthReport and coordinate technical issues related to system environmentsCoordinate and communicate with system vendor/contractor regarding all technical issues on behalf of client ICTProviding support to ICT staff and project teams in deployment of development environment in Azure Specific Requirements: Experience with CI/CD management of mission critical complex enterprise systems.Strong experience administering and troubleshooting ASP.NET applications hosted on Microsoft IIS.Deep understanding of IIS configuration, application pools, websites, bindings, SSL certificates and authentication mechanisms.Knowledge of Active Directory integration, Group Policies, service accounts, and Windows security concepts.Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for ASP.NET applications.Mandatory knowledge of Azure DevOpsStrong experience with Git-based workflows.Ability to automate: Application deployments, Environment configuration updates Knowledge & Skills Required: Excellent knowledge of software deployment managementGood knowledge of software release managementKnowledge of RUP and/or AGILE methodologiesKnowledge of application serversKnowledge of building and deployment tools (e.g., Ant, Azure Pipelines)Knowledge of development toolsKnowledge of RDBMSAbility to participate in multi-lingual meetings, Excellent communicatorCapability of working in an international/ multicultural environment
