Description

At Livello, you won't be writing ticket after ticket in a faceless enterprise. You'll be one of the people responsible for our entire cloud platform - the backbone that connects our intelligent retail kiosks to the services that make them work - keeping hundreds of smart kiosks running autonomously across multiple countries. This role is a production infrastructure position with operational responsibility from day one. We are looking for candidates who already have demonstrable hands-on experience operating Linux-based cloud workloads in production, including Kubernetes environments, GCP, messaging systems, deployment automation, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The focus of the role is platform reliability, security, networking, access control, and service operations across our cloud stack. Tasks Operate and improve our Kubernetes-based infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform, keeping production workloads healthy and performant Modernize our authorization and authentication services for better scalability and security Implement and maintain deployment pipelines with a focus on consistency, automation, and reproducibility using tools like Ansible Design inter-service communication patterns that keep our distributed system resilient Cloud security practices including certificate management, access controls, and operational compliance Build internal tooling and management capabilities for cloud components such as messaging systems and databases Develop and maintain redundancy and high-availability strategies as the platform scales Requirements 2+ years of hands-on experience operating Linux-based cloud infrastructure and containerized workloads in production 2+ years of practical Kubernetes experience in production, including networking, rollout management, troubleshooting, and service reliability 2+ years hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform / AWS in production environments, ideally with GKE, IAM, VPC, Cloud DNS, Load Balancing, and observability tooling Proven experience writing and maintaining infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and/or Ansible in production systems Confident understanding of Linux, container networking, DNS, TLS, authentication/authorization concepts, and incident-oriented troubleshooting Ability to take ownership for operational stability, rollout processes, and security-related infrastructure tasks A valid full-time work permit for Germany Benefits Real ownership, early: You won't shadow someone for six months — you'll contribute to production infrastructure from the start Accelerated growth: Direct exposure to architecture decisions, security practices, and scaling challenges that larger companies gate behind years of seniority Modern stack: Kubernetes, GCP, Ansible, containerized microservices — no legacy monoliths Startup culture: An international, open-minded team with flat hierarchies and fast decision-making Creative input: Your ideas on architecture, tooling, and process improvements are welcome and expected Perks: Free EGYM Wellpass membership, dog-friendly office in central Düsseldorf with great food and public transport A valid full-time work permit for Germany is required for this position.
