The Company We’re working with an early-stage, venture-backed AI company building software for organisations operating in complex, high-stakes environments. The business has gained strong early customer traction and is now looking for product-minded engineers who want significant ownership within a small, fast-moving team. The Role You’ll build and ship full-stack products used by government and enterprise customers, working across backend services, data workflows, AI-powered features and polished user interfaces. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with technical leadership and end users, taking features from initial problem definition through to production deployment. You’ll be responsible for: Building and shipping full-stack web applications used by real customersDeveloping backend services, APIs and data workflowsDesigning intuitive, polished interfacesBuilding AI agents and integrating LLM APIsWorking directly with customers to gather feedback and improve the productContributing to technical architecture and engineering standards as the team grows What We’re Looking For Around 2–8 years of professional software engineering experienceStrong experience with React, Next.js and PythonExperience building AI agents or integrating LLM APIs into production applicationsA track record of shipping full-stack products end-to-endExperience within a Seed to Series B startup, or clear product ownership within a leading technology companyStrong communication skills and confidence working directly with customersA proactive, resourceful approach suited to an early-stage environmentGenuine interest in government, defence or national-security technologyExperience with data pipelines or large-scale web scraping is desirablePrevious government or defence experience is desirableAn active security clearance is desirableA strong computer science degree is preferred, although equivalent practical experience will be considered What’s in It for You?
