PV4 is the software platform used to plan, manage, orchestrate and deliver major live sporting, entertainment and cultural events around the world. The platform has supported some of the world's largest and most complex productions, including Olympic Games, international multi-sport events, World Championships and other globally significant events. As part of a small, highly skilled engineering team, you'll help build and evolve the cloud services, applications and integrations that power these events behind the scenes. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, building modern cloud-native systems and taking ownership of software that is used in real-world environments. About The Team We are not a large corporate development department. The PV4 team is a small, collaborative group of engineers responsible for a product that plays a critical role in event delivery. What You'll Be Doing Your primary focus will be backend cloud development using AWS serverless technologies. You'll work on: Cloud-native backend services and APIsEvent-driven workflows and integrationsInfrastructure as CodeCloud architecture and platform evolutionProduction monitoring, observability and operational improvementsDeployment automation and CI/CDReliability, resilience and platform maturity initiatives You'll primarily work with technologies such as: AWS CDKLambdaAppSyncGraphQLStep FunctionsFargate / ECSDynamoDBEventBridgeNode.jsTypeScriptDocker While this role is primarily backend-focused, we're a small product team and developers occasionally contribute across the broader platform, including web and desktop applications built using technologies such as Nuxt, Vue and Electron. You do not need to be an expert in those technologies on day one. We're much more interested in finding somebody with strong backend and cloud engineering capability. What We're Looking For You'll ideally have experience with many of the following: Backend & Cloud Development AWS serverless application developmentInfrastructure as Code, ideally AWS CDKAPI development using GraphQL and/or RESTNode.js and TypeScriptEvent-driven architecturesDocker and containerised workloadsBuilding, maintaining and supporting production systems Operational Excellence We're particularly interested in developers who think beyond implementation and care about how services operate in production.
