Data Engineer 🚀 📍 Zagreb (hybrid) or remote from Croatia 💰 €2,000–2,400 net/month (based on experience) About Us: VendueTech is building the infrastructure layer for public real estate auctions: turning fragmented, cross-border auction data into structured, real-time intelligence. We decode legal complexity, predict risk and value, and give investors the clarity they need to bid with confidence. We're an early-stage, research-led company. Our team is fully remote, async-first, and global and we're at the stage where the systems we build now will define what's possible at scale. We're looking for a Data Engineer to own our data pipelines end-to-end, from collection to transformation, validation, and delivery. Key Responsibilities: Building and maintaining web scrapers for data collectionDesigning and developing ETL/ELT pipelinesData cleaning, transformation, and validationData modeling and database optimizationAutomating data processing workflowsMonitoring data quality and troubleshooting fastBuilding internal tools for monitoring and observabilityPartnering with AI and Product to ship new features What we are looking for: 3+ years of experience in PythonStrong SQL skills (CTEs, window functions, partitions, query optimization)Experience building and maintaining data pipelinesExperience with ETL/ELT processesExperience with orchestration tools (Airflow or similar)Solid knowledge of AWS services (S3, RDS, Lambda, Glue or similar)Experience working with BI toolsExperience with LLMs and AI tools is a strong plusExperience in data modelingAbility to independently drive major features from idea to production You don't need to know every tool we use, what matters is understanding how solid data systems work, thinking analytically, and picking things up fast.
