A talented Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performing server-side applications and integration services. In this role, you will be responsible for building APIs, optimizing databases, implementing microservices, and developing reliable data pipelines that connect business-critical platforms and applications. You will work closely with product managers, frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and maintainable backend solutions. Key Responsibilities Backend Application Development Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications and business logic using modern programming languages and frameworks.Build secure, reliable, and high-performing backend services that support business applications and customer-facing platforms.Develop reusable, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.Participate in architectural discussions and contribute to solution design and technical decision-making.API Development & Systems Integration Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and GraphQL APIs for internal systems and external integrations.Build integration solutions that enable seamless communication between enterprise applications, third-party platforms, and cloud services.Develop and maintain API documentation, standards, and security controls.Ensure API performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.Database Design & Optimization Design and manage relational and NoSQL database solutions.Develop efficient data models and optimize database structures to ensure scalability and performance.Write and optimize complex queries, stored procedures, and database operations.Implement caching strategies to improve application responsiveness and reduce infrastructure load.Monitor and improve database performance, availability, and reliability.Microservices & Distributed Systems Design and implement microservices-based architectures that support scalability and resilience.Develop backend services that operate effectively within distributed environments.Support service orchestration, inter-service communication, and fault-tolerant application design.Contribute to building highly available systems that support business growth and operational demands.Data Pipelines & Event-Driven Architectures Build and maintain webhooks, event-driven workflows, and asynchronous processing solutions.Design resilient data pipelines capable of processing high-volume transactions efficiently.Implement message-based communication and queue management systems.Support real-time and near-real-time data processing requirements.Security & Authentication Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms.Ensure compliance with security best practices for application development and data protection.Develop secure API access controls, encryption standards, and identity management solutions.Monitor and address security vulnerabilities across backend systems.Testing & Quality Assurance Develop and maintain comprehensive unit, integration, performance, and load tests.Ensure applications meet reliability, scalability, and quality standards.Participate in code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.Troubleshoot and resolve application issues through root cause analysis and performance monitoring.DevOps & Cloud Collaboration Work with cloud platforms and deployment pipelines to support continuous integration and delivery.Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate deployments, monitoring, and infrastructure management.Support containerized application deployments and cloud-native development practices.Contribute to system reliability, observability, and operational excellence initiatives.Required Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.Equivalent practical experience may be considered.Experience Minimum 3+ years of professional experience in backend software development.Experience designing and supporting enterprise-grade web applications and APIs.Proven experience working on scalable backend systems and distributed applications.Experience collaborating within Agile development environments.
