Job Description LionsBot International builds robots people love. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Cloud) who thrives on building scalable cloud systems that power real world robotics at global scale. You will design and develop cloud native backend services, microservices, distributed systems, and real time platforms that enable monitoring, control, and data driven operations across our robotic ecosystem. You will work across APIs, event driven architectures, and data pipelines to ensure performance, reliability, and security at scale. You will also take ownership of cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, driving CICD, infrastructure as code, observability, and disaster recovery to ensure stable and secure global operations. Your work will power a fast growing global platform supporting more than 5000 robots operating daily across over 30 countries. What You Will Do Design and build scalable cloud native backend systems and microservices that power and orchestrate our global fleet of robotsDevelop real time APIs and data pipelines that enable monitoring, control, and intelligent robot operationsDrive DevOps practices including CICD, infrastructure as code, cloud deployments, and operational automationEstablish strong observability, resilience, backup, and disaster recovery standardsContribute to security and compliance initiatives including ISO27001, SOC2, and GDPR through secure architecture and operational disciplineArchitect distributed systems that deliver high performance, reliability, and security at global scale What You Will Need Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or equivalent.At least 3 years of professional experience building production grade backend and cloud systemsStrong experience in Golang, Spring BootExperience with PostgreSQL, Neo4j, Kafka, Redis and TimescaleDB in production environmentsFamiliarity with real time communication technologies such as gRPC, MQTT, WebSocket, or WebRTCHands on experience deploying and operating services on AWS, Google Cloud, or AzureExperience with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, CICD pipelines, and cloud security best practicesExperience applying DevOps principles and implementing observability practices including logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoringProven experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems in production, including microservices Nice To Have Experience working with robots, robotic fleets, or IoT devices in production environmentsFamiliarity with OpenRMF, ROS or robotics-related communication stacksExperience working with smart building systems, access control, or IoT platformsExposure to real world system integration involving hardware and software coordination Apply now to build the cloud platform powering a global fleet of intelligent robots operating across more than 30 countries.
