Job Title : System Development Engineer Location : Dublin Duration : 3 Months Contract Mode : Onsite (5Days/Week) Role Overview Our team develops and maintains the applications that automate the complete lifecycle of network devices across Fulfilment Centres. These applications enable network engineers to efficiently manage network devices from procurement and deployment through monitoring and decommissioning, eliminating the need for manual device configuration. As a System Development Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications that improve network device utilisation, automate lifecycle management, and forecast network capacity across a large-scale infrastructure environment. Key Responsibilities Software Development Design, develop, and implement new application features.Build scalable backend services using Java and Python.Develop solutions to automate network device lifecycle management.Create applications that improve network device utilisation and operational efficiency.Develop software to forecast network traffic and capacity across fulfilment centres.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.Application Support & Maintenance Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.Perform bug fixing and application enhancements.Maintain and support business-critical production applications.Improve application performance, stability, and reliability.Ensure smooth operation of existing systems.Required Skills & Experience Programming Languages Strong hands-on experience with JavaStrong hands-on experience with PythonExperience developing scalable backend applications and servicesAWS Cloud Practical experience with AWS services including: AWS LambdaAmazon S3Amazon RDSAmazon CloudWatchAmazon EventBridgeAmazon SNSAmazon SQSCandidates should have experience working across multiple AWS services rather than limited exposure to only one or two.
