Senior Azure Cloud Engineer

About the role We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to help build, maintain and improve our Microsoft Azure environment. You'll work in an enterprise environment where security, scalability and automation are key. In this role, you'll work closely with infrastructure, security and application teams to ensure the Azure platform remains secure, reliable and well-governed. Besides hands-on engineering, you'll contribute to cloud improvements and share your expertise with colleagues. Key responsibilities Azure Platform Manage and optimize the Microsoft Azure environment.Support the implementation and maintenance of Azure Landing Zones.Manage subscriptions, networking, RBAC and resource organization.Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep or ARM). Cloud Governance Implement and maintain Azure governance standards.Work with:Azure PolicyManagement GroupsRBACResource taggingLifecycle managementHelp ensure the Azure platform remains secure, compliant and well documented.Support governance integration within deployment pipelines. Cost Management Monitor Azure consumption and identify optimization opportunities.Help manage budgets, reporting and cost allocation.Support FinOps initiatives together with the wider cloud team.Recommend improvements to optimize cloud spending. Identity & Access Management Support hybrid identity environments using:Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD)Active DirectoryADFSConfigure Conditional Access policies and MFA.Assist with secure application integrations using SAML and OAuth. Automation Automate operational tasks using PowerShell and Azure-native services.Contribute to improving monitoring, deployment and operational efficiency.Support the implementation of intelligent automation where appropriate. Collaboration Work closely with Cloud, Infrastructure, Security and Application teams.Contribute to technical improvements and knowledge sharing.Support cloud projects from design through implementation. Your profile We're looking for someone who enjoys solving technical challenges while continuously improving cloud environments. Experience 5+ years of experience working with Microsoft Azure.Strong knowledge of enterprise Azure environments.Experience with:Azure GovernanceAzure PolicyRBACMicrosoft Entra ID / Azure ADActive DirectoryAzure Cost ManagementHands-on experience with:Terraform, Bicep or ARMPowerShellAzure DevOps or GitHub ActionsCI/CDFamiliarity with cloud security best practices.Strong communication skills and experience working with multiple technical teams. Nice to have Knowledge of FinOps principles.Experience with Azure Functions or Logic Apps.Microsoft Azure certifications.Experience with cloud security tooling.Interest in AI-driven automation and cloud innovation. Compensation Gross annual salary: €70,000 – €90,000 (including holiday allowance)Equivalent to approximately €5,833 – €7,500 gross per month (including holiday allowance)Annual performance bonus equivalent to one additional month's salaryExcellent secondary employment benefits.
