Java Developer Dublin 18 | Hybrid (3 Days Onsite) Contract | Up to €350 per day Immediate Start Preferred The Opportunity Our client is seeking an experienced Java Developer to join their engineering team, working on enterprise-scale backend systems that support critical financial services applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a backend engineer who enjoys designing and developing scalable Java applications, working on modern microservices architecture and collaborating with Product, Engineering and Architecture teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions. You'll play a key role in building resilient backend services, enhancing existing platforms and contributing to the design of secure, scalable applications using modern engineering practices. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Build and enhance RESTful APIs and microservices supporting enterprise applications.Work closely with Product and Engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Contribute to system design and software architecture discussions.Develop scalable, secure and maintainable backend services.Apply modern engineering practices including CI/CD, automated testing and DevOps.Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis and drive continuous improvements.Collaborate within an Agile engineering environment to deliver high-quality software. What We're Looking For Strong commercial experience developing enterprise backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.Experience building REST APIs and microservices.Good understanding of software engineering principles and object-oriented design.Experience working with relational databases.Experience contributing to scalable, maintainable backend applications.Experience working within Agile development teams.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
