Azure Cloud Engineer

Location: Den Haag Duration: 9 Months with possibility of extension Freelance Only Overview We are seeking a skilled Azure Cloud Engineer to join a diverse technology team for our end client. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain cloud solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services. This role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement in cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure services.Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform or Bicep to automate provisioning and management of cloud resources.Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps to support software delivery and infrastructure updates.Configure and manage cloud networking and security components including VNETs, firewalls, NSGs, and identity management.Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor and related tools, proactively identifying and addressing performance, security, or availability issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support cloud migration projects and optimize existing cloud workloads.Document cloud architecture, processes, and troubleshooting procedures to foster knowledge sharing across the organization.Stay current with Azure platform updates and proactively recommend improvements or adoption of new services.Qualifications Proven experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services and solutions.Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Bicep) to automate cloud resource deployment.Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps pipelines.Solid knowledge of cloud networking protocols, security best practices, and identity/access management.Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting Azure environments.Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.Strong communication skills, with sensitivity to fostering an inclusive and respectful workplace.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) are a plus.If you are interested, please send your CV to and I will review your application shortly.
