Position Summary:
At LG Sonic, we deliver water quality monitoring and algae control solutions supported by a cloud-hosted dashboard.
As a Full-Stack IoT & Cloud Engineer, you will maintain, improve, and extend the platform across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
You will help ensure reliable data processing, secure operation, strong performance, and maintainable software.

Position duties and responsibilities:
• Full-stack feature development: design, implement, test, and deploy dashboard functionality across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and cloud services.• Backend and API development: build and maintain secure services for data ingestion, processing, and delivery.• Frontend development: create and maintain responsive, user-friendly dashboard interfaces.• Database management: design schemas, optimise queries, and manage backups and migrations.• Cloud infrastructure: maintain cloud services, storage, scheduled jobs, monitoring, and backups.• Infrastructure & DevOps: containerise services, automate CI/CD pipelines, and manage infrastructure as code.• Security and operations: apply IAM, TLS, secrets management, logging, alerting, and performance monitoring.• Testing and quality: write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code following industry best practices.• Documentation: maintain clear technical documentation for systems, APIs, databases, and deployment procedures.• Architecture: contribute to technical decisions and improve system reliability, scalability, and maintainability.• Collaboration: work with internal teams and external partners to deliver software effectively.• Production support: troubleshoot issues, support releases, and drive continuous improvement.
Nice to Have:
• Experience with data visualisation or mapping libraries.• Familiarity with Grafana, Kibana, or similar monitoring tools.• Experience with time-series or geospatial databases.• Familiarity with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, or EventBridge.• Experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.• Understanding of MQTT and event-driven systems.• Awareness of cloud security standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or IEC 62443.• Interest in data analytics and integration of machine-learning outputs.
Qualification and requirements:
• 3-5 years of professional full-stack development experience.• Proven experience with React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.• Professional experience with Python backends and RESTful API design.• Experience with MariaDB, PostgreSQL, or similar relational databases.• Familiarity with AWS-based infrastructure, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.• Understanding of cloud networking, IAM, TLS, secrets management, and monitoring.• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines.• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.• Ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional team environment.
