Job Title: Jr DevSecOps Engineer Position Type: Full-Time Location: Hybrid (Reston, VA) Days Remote: 3 days remote Position Summary The Jr DevSecOps Engineer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting secure software delivery pipelines for an AWS-based federal platform. Working as part of an Agile engineering team, this role develops and maintains CI/CD pipelines, implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC), integrates automated security controls, and supports secure cloud deployments. The Jr DevSecOps Engineer collaborates closely with Technical Leads, Developers, Cloud Engineers, Security Engineers, QA engineers, and fellow DevSecOps engineers while leveraging AI-assisted DevSecOps tools to improve security, automation, software quality, and delivery efficiency. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS-native services, including AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeBuild.Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CDK and AWS CloudFormation.Integrate automated security scanning, including SAST, DAST, SCA, and policy-as-code, into CI/CD pipelines.Automate compliance evidence collection and reporting to support FedRAMP and NIST security controls.Support automated environment provisioning and deployment strategies, including blue/green and canary deployments.Utilize AI-assisted DevSecOps tools to improve security scanning, testing, pipeline development, and deployment automation.Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot deployment issues, and continuously improve delivery performance and operational efficiency.Collaborate with Developers, Cloud Engineers, Security teams, QA engineers, and Technical Leads throughout the software development lifecycle. Minimum Experience 3+ years of professional DevOps or DevSecOps engineering experience.Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and Infrastructure as Code.Experience implementing security automation within software delivery pipelines.Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
