Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: San Diego, CA/ Kirkland, WA Work Type: Hybrid Rate: Depend on Experience (W2 Contract) Job Overview: We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to design, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and build/release processes. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with GitLab, Python scripting, Artifactory, Kubernetes, and Linux system administration, with a strong understanding of security best practices in DevOps environments. Key Responsibilities: · Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab · Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline build, test, and deployment processes · Manage artifact repositories and dependency management using Artifactory · Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications using Kubernetes · Administer and support Linux-based systems and infrastructure · Implement and enforce security best practices across CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure · Collaborate with development and QA teams to troubleshoot pipeline and deployment issues · Monitor and improve system reliability, build performance, and release processes · Document processes and maintain best practices for CI/CD, automation, and security workflows Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable): · Hands-on experience with GitLab (CI/CD pipelines, repository management) · Strong proficiency in Python scripting/automation · Experience with JFrog Artifactory (or similar artifact repository tools) · Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting) · Strong Linux system administration skills · Solid understanding of security best practices in DevOps/CI-CD environments · Solid understanding of CI/CD concepts and DevOps best practices · Experience with version control systems and branching strategies Nice-to-Have / Trainable Skills: · Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) · Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, Ansible) · Container security tools (e.g., Trivy, Aqua, Twistlock)
