Profile
As Director, Partner Marketing & Events, you will define and lead Booking.com’s global strategy for engaging, inspiring and building advocacy among our partner ecosystem.
You will create the strategic direction and operating model for partner-facing marketing, content, acquisition and experiences, including flagship events.
Working closely with Brand leadership, Business Unit leaders, Commercial teams and Marketing colleagues, you will connect partner marketing investment to Booking.com’s highest-value commercial growth priorities.
You will establish the standards, governance and team rhythms that create a consistent, distinctive partner experience at global scale.
This is a highly visible leadership role for a commercially minded brand and marketing leader who can balance long-term strategy with excellent execution, influence senior stakeholders in a complex matrix, and develop a high-performing global team.
This role offers the opportunity to shape how Booking.com builds meaningful, long-term relationships with the partners who power our business.
You will lead a global function at the intersection of brand, commercial strategy and partner experience—and create programmes that strengthen both partner preference and business growth.
You will report to and work closely with the Senior Director, Brand, with frequent collaboration across Business Units, Commercial and Marketing leadership.
You will also build productive, trusted partnerships with external agencies, suppliers and event partners.
Responsibilities:
Set and direct the global Partner Marketing & Events strategy and annual roadmap across partner-facing content, acquisition and experiences, aligned with Booking.com’s brand strategy and commercial growth goals.Partner with the Global Head of Brand, Business Unit leaders, Commercial teams and Marketing colleagues to prioritise investments, define trade-offs and translate business needs into a focused, high-impact agenda.Design and govern the operating model, strategic principles and shared standards for global partner engagement programmes and flagship events, creating a unified partner experience at scale.Lead the development and delivery of major partner-facing programmes and events, ensuring they are strategically grounded, brand-right and delivered to a consistently high standard.Build long-term partner relevance, loyalty and advocacy by using insight, audience understanding and commercial objectives to shape engaging partner experiences.Establish clear planning, decision-making, measurement and communication rhythms that enable effective global collaboration and continuous improvement.Influence senior stakeholders across Business Units, Brand, Commercial and Marketing through strong executive communication, sound judgment and a clear partner value proposition.Lead, coach and develop a globally minded, multidisciplinary organisation of 5 direct reports and 30+ indirect team members, fostering clarity, ownership, inclusion and high standards of execution.Build strong relationships with external partners and vendors to ensure high-quality delivery and maximise the impact of partner marketing investment.
Ideal Experience & Skills:
Significant senior leadership experience in global marketing, brand, partnerships, events or go-to-market roles; typically 8–12+ years of relevant experience.A proven track record of creating and governing partner marketing ecosystems, engagement programmes or operating models at scale.Strong strategic and commercial judgment, with the ability to connect partner strategy to business-unit growth ambitions and make thoughtful investment trade-offs.Deep understanding of brand strategy and strong marketing fundamentals, with the ability to turn strategy into compelling partner-facing programmes and experiences.Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional work in global, matrixed organisations.Experience leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, with a clear, empowering leadership style and a high bar for accountability and quality.Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.Experience managing agency, vendor or external-partner relationships for major programmes or events.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
