Job Description To support our continued growth and performance, we are looking for a full-time Web Developer to join our passionate and collaborative team of “thinkers” to create, enhance, and maintain website assets for our clients. Our right-fit candidate must have experience developing websites with a variety of content management systems (CMS) including WordPress and Drupal. Experience with e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, WooCommerce, and custom solutions as well as working knowledge of programming languages like HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, XML, and project management, and thrive in an agile environment. General Job Duties Writing well-designed and testable code utilizing software development best practicesIntegrating data from various back-end services and databasesBuilding websites from concept to completion from the ground up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and functionGathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needsCreating and maintaining software documentationMaintaining, expanding, and scaling websitesCooperating with graphic and web designers to match visual design intentDefining scope, estimating budget, and timelining new projectsPerforming detailed QA on a myriad of devices with differing screen sizes and resolutionsMaintaining existing client websites and web applicationsDebugging existing and new websites and web applicationsContinuously learning new technologies and techniquesServer/site migrationsDeveloping custom web applications that drive business processesSetting up e-commerce applications Qualifications And Key Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems is preferred3+ experience with CMS/e-commerce platforms (WordPress, Drupal Shopify, WooCommerce)Strong understanding of PHP back-end developmentExpert knowledge of HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, and XMLUnderstanding of Progressive Enhancement to utilize HTML5/CSS3 when availableMobile web development experienceDeep knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistencies/quirksExperience with layout and design applications such as Adobe CSExperience building data-driven web applicationsExperience with version control systemsExperience with CMSs (Drupal, WordPress, Joomla)Knowledge of social APIs such as Facebook and TwitterExtensive experience with Google Analytics implementationA solid understanding of how web applications work, including security, session management, and development best practicesBasic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process.Ability to understand business issues for product developmentAggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent ability to collaborate with internal and external teams AN IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL ALSO POSSESS Agency experienceKnowledge of CRMs such as Salesforce, Hubspot, etcFamiliarity with at least one of the following programming languages (ASP.NET)Mobile app development experience on iOS and/or Android SDK platforms is a plusCreative design skills Job Type: Full-time NOTE: This role is to work onsite in Charlotte, NC (South End).
