The AWS Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and reliable cloud infrastructures on Amazon Web Services. Daily activities include provisioning and configuring cloud resources, automating deployments, optimizing performance and costs, and monitoring environments to ensure high availability and resilience. The role also involves collaborating with development, security, and operations teams to support application workloads, implementing best practices for CI/CD, backup, and disaster recovery, and troubleshooting issues across cloud and network layers. The engineer contributes to documentation, participates in reviews, and supports continuous improvement of cloud standards and practices. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong AWS cloud engineering skills, including experience with core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch.Candidates should possess skills in infrastructure as code and automation, such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar tooling, along with scripting in languages like Python or Bash.Candidates should possess skills in networking and security, including VPC design, routing, security groups, IAM policies, encryption, and adherence to security best practices.Candidates should possess skills in CI/CD and DevOps practices, working with tools such as Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline to support automated builds and deployments.Candidates should possess skills in monitoring, logging, and optimization, including setting up dashboards, alerts, log analysis, and cost/performance optimization in AWS.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Relevant AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer) are highly beneficial.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate clearly, and document architectures and operational procedures effectively.
