Job Description As a Detection Engineering Specialist at Ubisoft Montréal, you will help evolve our detection engineering capabilities through automation, cloud technologies, and Detection-as-Code practices. Working closely with Security Operations, Incident Response, Platform Engineering, and Development teams, you will contribute to building scalable and maintainable detection solutions that improve the reliability and efficiency of security operations across Ubisoft’s global environment. What You’ll Do Evaluate log sources, telemetry feeds, and enrichment data to assess detection quality and coverageDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain detection rules, frameworks, and supporting technologiesContribute to the adoption of Detection-as-Code practices using version control and modern development workflowsDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelines that automate validation, testing, deployment, and lifecycle management of detection contentBuild integrations and workflows using APIs, SIEM platforms, EDR solutions, cloud services, and data repositoriesCreate automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual tasksCollaborate with Security Operations and Incident Response teams to improve detection coverage and investigation workflowsDevelop reusable tooling, libraries, and frameworks that support detection engineering initiativesApply secure coding practices, testing strategies, and quality controls throughout the engineering lifecycleResearch emerging technologies and contribute to infrastructure automation and platform engineering initiatives Qualifications What you bring to the team Experience in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or automation-focused rolesUse Git-based workflows and source control management practicesDevelop and maintain CI/CD pipelinesProgram or script using languages such as Python, Go, PowerShell, or JavaScriptIntegrate platforms and services through APIsApply software development best practices, testing methodologies, and secure coding principlesWork with cloud platforms, containerized environments, and infrastructure technologiesCommunicate technical concepts clearly with both technical and non-technical collaboratorsApproach complex technical problems with a collaborative and practical mindsetAdapt to evolving technologies and continuously improve processes and systems Additional Information What to send our way Your CV highlighting relevant skills and experiencesPortfolio or project links adapted to the role, such as GitHub repositories or automation projects
