What You’ll Do
Help lead initiatives for upgrading and scaling our systems to improve availability, reliability, and performanceWork with stakeholders across the business to balance and accommodate competing objectivesDirectly engage with internal & external customers to evolve, understand & improve their resiliencyMentor and develop junior engineers, growing their knowledge, skill-set and capabilityUse the latest industry standard tools and best practices to meet the evolving needs of our internal engineers, developers and external customersManage Cloud provider infrastructure, system deployments & product release operationsYou will use your knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure to promote proper engineering practice, automation strategy, and other advanced concepts across productsWork on the continuing reduction of human intervention in operations tasks and process automationParticipate in an on-call rotation, using a follow-the-sun model
What You’ll Bring
A strong combination of technical experience, hands-on keyboard capability, technical leadership experience, and ability to learn fast in a fast paced environmentSignificant (5+ years) of design & implementation experience in multi-cloud environments (GCP & AWS)Experience with architecture and operation of container technologies such as Kubernetes, service-meshExpertise with Linux system administration, networking and security, ideally in a Cloud environmentHands-on experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code such as Terraform, Ansible, HelmExpertise with modern CI/CD systems such as ArgoCD, Circle-CI, Github ActionsExperience with microservices architectures and debugging/investigation techniques.Knowledge of cloud monitoring and troubleshooting skills.Scripting knowledge – proficiency with Python, Go, Java, JS or similar languagesStrong presentation, verbal and written communication skillsExperience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy
