We are currently seeking a qualified Software Safety Engineer to join our team. Location: Mississauga, ON Job Type: Full-Time Work Arrangement: Hybrid Responsibilities: The major responsibilities of this role include: As a Software Safety Engineer, you will be responsible for product safety requirements and analysis Involved in Product safety developmentPerforming safety/hazard assessments and analyses on projects involving complex electromechanical systems with a significant software component.Performing software criticality analysis Developing product software safety requirements to meet customer and mission requirements Performing trade-off studies to ensure the requirements are the right requirements Working with design, systems engineering and software groups to ensure that safety-related inputs are incorporated into the design.Analyzing safety-critical software documentation and source code for safety Analyzing reused software for safety Defend safety decisions to internal and external customers Ensure safety requirements are met in design phase Contribute to System Safety Analysis Reports Present safety designs at safety review panels Requirements: Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Software, Computer, or Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science Strong experience of software safety in a safety-critical development environmentAbility to communicate with and work alongside multiple engineering disciplines to develop safety requirements
