Description

Role: DevOps Engineer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Type: Contract Job Description: Design and implement CI/CD pipelines on Microsoft Azure (Azure DevOps)Manage end-to-end build, release, and deployment automationExecute and support VMC2 (VMware Cloud) deployments in hybrid environmentsDevelop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (ARM/Bicep/Terraform)Collaborate with Dev, QA, and Ops teams to streamline release cyclesImplement containerization using Docker and/or KubernetesExperience supporting and deploying Java-based applications through CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including build automation with Maven/Gradle.Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka deployment, administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting in enterprise environments; experience supporting Kafka-based event-driven applications is highly preferred.Monitor system performance, availability, and deployment healthEnsure security, compliance, and governance across pipelinesTroubleshoot production issues and optimize deployment performanceUse scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation and tooling
