Software Quality Engineer Duration: Contract Workload: Full time hours Setup: Freelance (Daily Rate / Limited Company / Umbrella / Sole Trader) Location: The Hague (1-3 days a week) Our client is seeking a Software Quality Engineer with strong experience in data-centric testing environments to ensure the quality, accuracy, and reliability of large-scale data platforms, ETL pipelines, and reporting solutions. Key Responsibilities: Perform end-to-end testing across data ingestion, transformation, and reporting workflows.Validate ETL processes, Big Data solutions, and BI/reporting outputs.Design and execute manual test cases, data validation, and reconciliation activities.Develop and maintain SQL-based validation routines and quality assurance frameworks.Support testing activities within Azure-based data ecosystems, including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Data Lake environments.Collaborate with data engineers, business stakeholders, and development teams to manage the full test lifecycle.Track defects, test execution, and delivery progress using Azure DevOps.Identify quality risks proactively and ensure timely mitigation.
