Role Barcelona onsite / 3 days at the office - 2 days at home As a CloudOps Engineer, you’ll play a key role in the daily operations of our SaaS platform—supporting CI/CD pipelines, ensuring system reliability, optimizing costs, and helping manage cloud resources across multiple AWS accounts. You’ll bring practical DevOps skills, an operations-first mindset, and working experience with MongoDB to help us deliver a secure, reliable, and cost-efficient platform. Key Responsibilities Cloud Operations Support day-to-day AWS operations (EC2, RDS, EKS, S3, IAM, VPC). Perform lifecycle management tasks such as patching, scaling, and backups. Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, and on-call rotations. CI/CD & Automation Operate and maintain CI/CD pipelines (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Improve deployment reliability through automation and scripting. Support engineering teams in deploying services and environments. FinOps & Cost Management Monitor cloud usage and support cost-optimization initiatives. Assist in identifying opportunities for savings (e.g., right-sizing, compute migrations, storage tiering). Partner with senior engineers to report and track cost efficiency. Database & Data Support Operate and monitor MongoDB / RDS Aurora clusters (performance, backups, scaling). Troubleshoot database issues in collaboration with senior engineers. Support integration of MongoDB and/or RDS Aurora with application workloads. Observability & Monitoring Configure monitoring and alerting with Splunk, Grafana, CloudWatch, and OpenTelemetry. Contribute to incident detection and response playbooks. Help define operational runbooks and dashboards. Security & Compliance Follow IAM security practices and apply least-privilege policies. Support patching, logging, and compliance tasks (SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA). Work with security engineers to maintain audit readiness. Required Experience & Qualifications 3–5+ years in CloudOps, DevOps, or SRE roles. Solid op erational knowledge of AWS (EC2, RDS, IAM, S3, CloudWatch). Hands-on experience with MongoDB/RDS Aurora in production environments. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automation (ArgoCD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). Strong scripting ability (Python, Bash, or similar). Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, OpenTelemetry). Good communication and teamwork skills. Operations-first: enjoys ensuring systems run smoothly and reliably. Detail-oriented: diligent in monitoring, troubleshooting, and documenting.
