Description

This is a fully remote role About the Company Venus Protocol is a leading DeFi money market on BNB Smart Chain, powering decentralized lending, borrowing, and stablecoin generation for millions of users. As one of the Top DeFi protocol with billions in total value locked, redefining open finance by making liquidity accessible, efficient, and borderless. About the role We are looking for a driven Backend Engineer to architect and maintain the server-side foundations of our DeFi protocol. You will design scalable APIs, optimize database interactions, and ensure robust integration with blockchain smart contracts. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain backend services with NodeJS and TypeScript.Design and optimize SQL schemas and queries for performance.Implement APIs and data models with GraphQL.Integrate backend logic with smart contract interactions using Viem or ethers.js.Write high-quality, testable code with Jest or Vitest.Collaborate across distributed teams to deliver end-to-end product features. Qualifications: 3โ€“5+ years of backend development experience.Strong expertise in NodeJS and TypeScript.Proficiency with Frontend technologies such as React.Proficiency with SQL databases and GraphQL.Experience integrating with blockchain networks via Viem/ethers.js.Strong understanding of backend testing practices.Bonus: Familiarity with schema validation (Yup/Zod) or distributed system
