Description
MatchBox Consulting is urgently seeking a Software Developer -Site Reliability Engineer for a 5-month contract at our New Westminster based public sector client.
This is a hybrid role (2 days in office and 3 days remote)
Reporting To The Senior Manager, SRE & Integration Services, And Working Closely With The SRE Team And Business Stakeholders, The Software Developer (Contractor) Will Help Build And Configure Various Azure Components, Including
Scope of Duties
Automating creation of Azure Front Door and CDN profiles (rule sets, WAF firewall rules) using Terraform/Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.Automating creation of Azure Application Gateway (rule sets, WAF firewall rules) using Terraform/Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.Automating creation of APIM using Terraform.Automating deployment of APIM policies using ADO YAML pipelines.Creating App Services with private endpoints using Terraform.Deploying web apps and function apps on App Services using Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines.Creating SQL Server databases and private endpoints using Terraform.Creating Key Vault with private endpoint using Terraform.Creating Application Insights and Log Analytics workspaces (with alerts) using Terraform/YAML pipelines.
Required Experience & Skills
5+ years designing, developing, and supporting enterprise software applications using C# and .NET.Strong experience with application integration technologies โ REST APIs, SOAP services, message queues, ETL, and system-to-system integration.Experience supporting, troubleshooting, and modernizing legacy applications while maintaining business continuity.Proficiency with Microsoft technologies including .NET, SQL Server, Azure services, and Azure DevOps.Experience integrating modern applications with legacy platforms, databases, middleware, and third-party vendor solutions.Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, object-oriented design, and secure coding practices.Experience with database development, performance tuning, stored procedures, and data migration.Ability to analyze existing codebases, identify technical debt, and recommend modernization strategies.Experience with unit/integration testing, troubleshooting production issues, and automating CI/CD deployments.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, including sprint planning, estimation, reviews, and retrospectives.Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.Ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, developers, operations teams, and external vendors.
