Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using React, TypeScript, Python, and modern web technologies.Build scalable backend services, REST APIs, and microservices supporting trading, investment, research, and operational platforms.Develop intuitive front-end applications and dashboards for portfolio managers, traders, researchers, and business users.Partner closely with investment professionals and business stakeholders to translate requirements into high-quality software solutions.Build and optimize data-intensive applications that consume real-time and historical market data.Develop reusable UI components, backend services, and shared engineering libraries to improve development efficiency.Integrate applications with internal platforms, market data providers, and third-party APIs.Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, production support, and continuous platform improvements.Contribute to CI/CD automation, cloud deployments, and application observability.Leverage AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering practices to improve productivity and software quality.Required Qualifications
5+ years of professional software engineering experience.Strong backend development experience using Python.Strong frontend development experience with React and TypeScript.Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and distributed applications.Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.Experience with cloud-native development, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.Familiarity with AWS or other public cloud platforms.Experience working in Agile development environments.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate directly with technical and business stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications
Experience within a hedge fund, asset manager, investment bank, fintech, or capital markets environment.Experience building applications supporting trading, portfolio management, risk, research, or market data.Knowledge of event-driven architectures, messaging technologies (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and microservices.Experience working with large-scale data processing and analytics platforms.Familiarity with AI/LLM technologies, developer productivity tools, or intelligent automation.Experience developing highly available, low-latency, and business-critical applications.
