Development Engineer Salary: $100,000 โ€“ $150,000 Lafayette, Louisiana, USA - office based role We are looking for a talented Development Engineer with strong software development skills to join our growing engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that supports real-time oil and gas field management through advanced data analytics and physical modelling. Working alongside experienced engineers, you will contribute to the development of innovative software solutions that help optimise energy assets in real time while expanding your expertise across multiple areas of modern software engineering. As a Development Engineer, you will: Contribute to the design and development of a market-leading product used for real-time oil and gas field management.Develop software using modern engineering practices within the .NET ecosystem.Work across front-end development, UI design, database development and system testing.Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new features aligned with the product roadmap.Gain structured support and mentoring to develop your understanding of enterprise IT systems used in real-time energy asset optimisation.Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from design through to deployment and testing. We're looking for someone with: A strong degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, or a related discipline.Solid commercial or research programming experience within the .NET ecosystem.Exposure to some of the following technologies (experience in all is not required):React or similar front-end frameworksCloud technologies (provider agnostic)REST APIsDevOps and CI/CD pipelinesInfrastructure-as-Code tools such as TerraformExcellent problem-solving and analytical skills.The ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.A highly organised approach with strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
