Description

Role type: Contract Closes: 7th August Role Description: This role will focus on supporting, maintaining and developing solutions for cloud and back-end Java/AWS/Oracle components. Back-end comprises of multiple Java components and Java EE JMS components used for data integration and message processing. It consists of AWS cloud components used to provide external integrations with external clients/partners. Responsibilities will include: Develop enterprise-grade software using Java and Oracle technologiesDevelop / maintain web-based UI using ReactJS, CSS and HTMLDesign data models, translate to physical data models and implement using Oracle DatabaseImplement CRUD operations on the database using Java Object-Relational Mapping frameworksProduce and maintain detailed design artefacts & technical specificationsCreate and work with RESTful OpenAPI specifications, SOAP WSDLs, XML SchemasDevelop and maintain DevOps workflows using Jenkins, Git and Maven & AntPerform and build Nexus software releases following established processesProviding advice and support for Applications Director & CIOProvision of on-call services as part of a team roster (calls are rare one per year) Essential criteria: Programming/software development: Level 6 (SFIA) Develops organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for software construction and refactoring. Plans and leads software construction activities for strategic, large and complex development projects. Adapts or develops new methods and organisational capabilities and drives adoption of, and adherence to policies and standards.
