Description

The Senior Manager eCommerce Strategic Planning is responsible for building multiyear business plans, delivering accurate product forecasts both pre-season & in-season, sales analytics, trading and inventory management for US eCommerce. This role will build, track and communicate performance against the monthly plan and update as necessary. They will drive the weekly sales meeting based on performance against the business plan across all key product categories driving the necessary actions to optimize. They will provide concise and timely updates to the executive team and key business stakeholders. Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities Own the multiyear planning cycles for the U.S E-Commerce business. Lead the buying process and work cross functionally across the team to integrate acquisition, retention and site optimization into the AOP. Build future years product level forecasts for all categories through the monthly PQ process. Balancing the art and science of forecasting, using data, analytics and insights combined with a strong suite of product knowledge to accurate forecast across the categories. Partner with Finance to understand the monthly P&L, connecting the bottoms up product forecast to the monthly business plan. Leverage market insights and macro performance data to understand category performance and inform future opportunities. Partner closely across the other business channels to get an accurate read on performance and lead the action planning process to optimize sell through. Guide planning team members to build, maintain and optimize in-season sales reporting across all product categories. Provide tools and reporting of performance vs forecast and vs previous periods. Work closely with Site operations team to review all key commercial holidays and build a seasonally relevant assortment. Own the end-to-end lifecycle of a product from initial forecast through end of life. Manage end of life process for overstock inventory across DTCe. Plans & secures inventory for eCommerce via bulk order process and direct inventory transfers. Monitors inventory and sell-through performance to inform markdown decisions and promotions.In conjunction with eCommerce leadership and merchandising team, uses historical data and trends to determine product assortment for collaborations and quantity/sell-out strategy for exclusive accessories to balance collectability with profitability.Ensures new products are added to forecasting template to meet buy cycle timingConducts weekly inventory and sell-through review to identify and predict inventory shortfallsReviews non-ranged in-line product in US for eCommerce exclusive opportunitiesDevelop best practices for the planning function and partner with finance and IT to ensure that we are getting the best data and reporting for the team to analyze the business.Lead, build, develop, and motivate analyst(s) to perform at the highest level; facilitate and foster a continuous learning and collaboration environment within the team.Communicates to the US Planning team the buy plan for eCommerce exclusive products throughout the year, while communicating allocation plans to each region. Communicates product performance to category leads and US Sales team to inform decisions within sales and product creation Performs other related duties and assignments as required Knowledge And Skills Requirements Strong strategic planning capabilities, comfortable using retail math & analytics to build multi-year business plans within a fast paced organization. Experience building out forecast at a product level within a retail environment. Preferably within Sporting Goods industry. Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite; Advanced Excel skills - thorough understanding of macros, pivot tables, lookup formulas, formatting, etc.Ability to identify issues and problem solve with several variables in standardized situationsExceptional ability to prioritize & organize a high number of deliverables, resulting in the ability to meet critical deadlinesStrong analytical skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of data and create reporting tools from dataStrong communication and presentation skills, written and verbalAbility to accurately assess talent and effectively motivate and influence others to build skills, efficiently accomplish tasks, and develop leading edge processes. Education, Work Experience, And Professional Certifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field 8+ years of experience in planning, finance, strategy in an retail environment or prior consulting experience Experience working with Retail/eCommerce KPI’s and retail math and merchandising systems/applications. Experience leading a planning team within a retail/ecommerce businessPassion for sports/golf preferred. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $135,000 - $155,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
