Senior Frontend Engineer

Position Title: Senior Front End Developer Tech Stack: React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, Azure. Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time Location: Remote within Australia Salary: $140-$170k base + super Position Summary My client is looking for a capable Front End Developer at either the mid or senior level to design, build, and maintain modern web applications across their platform. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role with a strong emphasis on producing clean, maintainable, high-quality user interfaces that integrate reliably with backend services and the broader product ecosystem. The successful candidate will work primarily within a modern React-based frontend stack, collaborating closely with backend developers, product stakeholders, QA, and DevOps to ship production-ready features. This is a role for someone who takes genuine pride in quality, usability, and execution — not just getting screens across the line. About The Role You'll contribute to the ongoing development of a modern application platform built on React, TypeScript, Vite, Tailwind CSS, and integrations with .NET-based APIs and microservices. You'll help establish reusable frontend patterns, improve UI consistency, and ensure the user experience is responsive, accessible, and commercially sound. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality web application interfaces using React and TypeScriptBuild reusable UI components and contribute to consistent frontend architecture and patternsTranslate product requirements, workflows, and mockups into robust, production-ready screensIntegrate frontend applications with REST APIs and backend servicesCollaborate with backend developers to ensure clean contracts between the frontend and server-side systemsImplement responsive layouts that perform well across desktop and mobileImprove application usability, performance, accessibility, and visual consistencyContribute to code reviews, estimation, technical discussions, and delivery planningWrite maintainable, testable code and support automated testing where appropriateHelp identify and address technical debt within the frontend codebaseContribute to design system thinking, documentation, and internal frontend standardsWork within established delivery practices using Git, pull requests, and structured development workflows Essential Skills and Experience Commercial experience in frontend development using React and TypeScriptStrong proficiency in modern JavaScript, HTML5, and CSSProven ability to build component-based interfaces in a structured and maintainable wayExperience with Tailwind CSS or comparable modern styling approachesFamiliarity with a modern frontend toolchain such as Vite Desirable Skills and Experience Experience working alongside .NET backend teams or in API-driven microservice environmentsExposure to frontend testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright, or CypressExperience contributing to a shared component library or design systemBackground in B2B SaaS, workflow platforms, low-code/no-code systems, or enterprise applicationsFamiliarity with Azure-hosted environments and modern CI/CD practicesExperience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar delivery toolingAwareness of application security considerations on the frontend Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; orEquivalent commercial experience demonstrating strong capability in modern frontend development Sound like a fit?
