Your new role  This senior technical leadership role provides engineering oversight across critical platforms, helping maintain stability, security, compliance and operational resilience. The role also supports strategic platform outcomes through cloud, DevSecOps, automation and platform engineering initiatives. In this role you’ll: Shape enterprise platform strategy, drive cloud and DevSecOps transformation, and champion engineering excellence across QBE. Own the vision, strategy, roadmap and backlog for platform enhancements, working with leaders, architects and business stakeholders.Provide technical direction, mentor and develop engineers, and partner with stakeholders while supporting engineering standards, capability, risk management and inclusive ways of working.Maintain the reliability, performance, security, compliance, scalability and lifecycle support of assigned core technology platforms.Oversee platform delivery, upgrades, integrations, incidents, root cause analysis and preventative improvements.Identify and implement opportunities for automation, DevSecOps practices, cloud-native transformation, Azure DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines. About You  You’ll bring experience in a similar senior technical role, with the ability to partner with leaders, architects and stakeholders to support business needs and platform outcomes. In addition, you’ll have: Experience owning or contributing to platform vision, strategy, roadmaps, backlogs and enhancements.Strong understanding of platform reliability, performance, security, compliance, scalability and lifecycle support.Experience across platform delivery, upgrades, integrations, incidents, root cause analysis and preventative improvements.Knowledge of automation, DevSecOps practices, cloud-native transformation, Azure DevSecOps and CI/CD pipelines.Application development, vendor management.Relevant tertiary qualifications, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
