Company PT Citra Komunikasi Utama (CKU) Location Jakarta, Indonesia Employment Status Full-Time Function Product And Solutions Direct Supervisor Head Of Product & Solutions About the Role The Junior IT DevOps is responsible for supporting application deployment, server operations, system monitoring, and automation across development, staging, and production environments. This role works closely with Developers, Infrastructure, Security, Quality Assurance, and other relevant teams to ensure applications can be deployed, operated, monitored, and maintained reliably. The position is suitable for fresh graduates or junior-level candidates who have relevant exposure through internships, freelance assignments, academic projects, bootcamps, or personal projects. What You Will Do Deployment and Release Management Support application deployments across development, staging, and production environments.Prepare deployment requirements, including source code, dependencies, environment variables, server configurations, and application services.Assist with build, release, rollback, and application versioning activities.Ensure deployment activities follow approved procedures, checklists, and documentation standards.Perform post-deployment verification to confirm that applications and services are operating normally.Support deployment strategies that minimize downtime, including Blue-Green Deployment, rolling deployment, and other appropriate release methods.Assist in identifying and resolving issues that occur during deployment or release activities.Server and Application Operations Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based servers.Use Linux command-line tools for file management, permissions, process and service management, resource monitoring, connectivity checks, and log analysis.Manage Node.js applications using PM2 or a comparable process manager.Support the configuration of Nginx as a web server, reverse proxy, and basic load balancer.Monitor CPU, memory, disk usage, processes, ports, and server connectivity.Help ensure consistent server and application configurations across environments.CI/CD and Automation Support the development, execution, and maintenance of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines.Use at least one CI/CD platform such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or a similar tool.Assist in automating build, test, deployment, service restart, and release processes.Monitor pipeline execution and help troubleshoot failed jobs or deployment stages.Ensure deployed source code follows the required branch, review, approval, and versioning workflow.Create simple Bash or Shell scripts to automate routine operational activities.Containerization Build, run, monitor, and maintain application containers using Docker.Work with Dockerfiles, images, containers, volumes, port mapping, networks, and environment variables.Troubleshoot containers that fail to build, start, or operate as expected.Support multi-container applications using Docker Compose.Help maintain consistent container configurations across development, staging, and production environments.Monitoring, Logging, and Troubleshooting Monitor application, server, service, container, pipeline, and deployment status.Perform initial analysis of application errors and production incidents.Review application logs, system logs, web server logs, process logs, and container logs.Identify issues related to configuration, dependencies, networking, services, server resources, permissions, or deployments.Escalate issues to Developers, Infrastructure Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Security, or other relevant teams when additional expertise is required.Support monitoring and logging platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, ELK/EFK Stack, Loki, Zabbix, or similar tools.Document incidents, root causes, corrective actions, and preventive measures.Configuration and Security Support Manage environment-specific configurations for development, staging, and production.Ensure passwords, tokens, API keys, credentials, and other sensitive information are not stored directly in source code.Apply basic secrets management, environment variable management, and access-control practices.Support secure server access using SSH keys and appropriate access restrictions.Assist with user, file, directory, service, and application permission management.Maintain the confidentiality of credentials, system configurations, company data, and technical documentation.Documentation and Collaboration Create and maintain documentation for deployments, server configurations, services, CI/CD pipelines, release procedures, and troubleshooting.Prepare deployment checklists, rollback procedures, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides.Coordinate with Developers to understand application requirements, dependencies, and release needs.Coordinate with Infrastructure and Security teams regarding servers, networks, access, and system security.Communicate deployment status, technical issues, and troubleshooting results clearly and systematically.Follow the company's change management, approval, and release management procedures.Key Responsibilities Support reliable application deployment and release activities.Help maintain application, service, server, and container stability.Ensure deployment activities are properly documented and executed according to procedure.Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.Perform basic monitoring and initial troubleshooting for deployment and production issues.Protect credentials, environment configurations, and server access.Reduce repetitive manual work through scripting and automation.Collaborate effectively with Development, Infrastructure, Security, and Quality Assurance teams.Escalate issues promptly with complete and accurate technical information.What We're Looking For Educational Background Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Informatics Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Fresh graduate candidates should demonstrate relevant exposure through internships, bootcamps, freelance work, academic projects, competitions, organizational activities, or personal projects.Technical Qualifications Good understanding of Linux fundamentals and command-line usage.Able to perform basic Linux administration, including file and directory management, permissions and ownership, process and service management, CPU/memory/disk monitoring, port and connectivity checks, and log review.Good understanding of networking fundamentals, including IP addressing, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, ports, protocols, SSH, client-server architecture, firewalls, and basic connectivity troubleshooting.Familiar with Git operations such as clone, pull, push, commit, branch, merge, basic conflict resolution, tags, and versioning.Understands the software development lifecycle and the end-to-end process of deploying an application from source code to an accessible runtime environment.Understands PM2 for Node.js process management, including starting, stopping, restarting, deleting, monitoring processes, viewing logs, using ecosystem files, and configuring startup processes.Understands Nginx fundamentals, including server blocks, domain configuration, reverse proxy, port forwarding, basic SSL configuration, access logs, and error logs.Understands Docker and containerization, including image builds, container lifecycle, logs, volumes, port mapping, environment variables, networks, and Docker Compose.Understands CI/CD concepts such as pipelines, jobs, stages, runners, builds, tests, deployments, and artifacts.Familiar with at least one CI/CD tool such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, or a similar platform.Understands Blue-Green Deployment, rollback concepts, and deployment strategies designed to minimize downtime.Understands application setup, configuration, deployment, release, and maintenance processes on servers.Able to perform initial troubleshooting for inaccessible applications, stopped services, inactive ports, reverse proxy errors, dependency failures, incorrect environment variables, failed containers, failed pipelines, high server resource usage, and permission or ownership issues.Understands basic security principles, including user access, SSH keys, file permissions, secrets management, credential protection, environment configuration, and the principle of least privilege.Willing to support deployments,
