Senior DevOps Engineer Overview We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who is passionate about building secure, scalable infrastructure and enabling high-performing engineering teams. In this role, you will collaborate closely with developers, testers, and stakeholders to improve deployment processes, enhance system reliability, and support the delivery of robust applications. You will contribute to shaping DevOps practices, tooling, and infrastructure strategy across the organisation. Responsibilities Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure in Azure using TerraformCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliability, security, and performance across systemsDesign, implement, and improve CI/CD pipelines and automation workflowsDevelop and maintain reusable infrastructure and application templatesEvaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilitiesImprove observability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutionsTroubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues, ensuring rapid resolution Ideal Candidate Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Strong experience with Terraform and cloud platforms (Azure preferred)Kubernetes: Experience managing containerised applications, including cluster troubleshooting, Helm, and GitOps workflowsSecurity: Hands-on experience with secrets management tools (e.g., Vault, Azure Key Vault) and authentication systems (e.g., SSO, Okta)Observability: Experience with tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or Azure MonitorNetworking: Solid understanding of networking concepts, DNS, and related technologiesCI/CD: Experience building and maintaining pipelines using tools such as GitHub ActionsMicroservices: Familiarity with microservices and event-driven architectures (Kafka knowledge is beneficial)Communication: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams Benefits 25 days annual leave plus bank holidaysHybrid working modelDiscretionary bonus schemeCompany pensionLife and medical insurance, including eyecareEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to work schemeFamily-friendly policiesReferral and reward schemesAccess to employee perks platform
