About the Role As our Senior Backend & DevOps Engineer, you will own the backend architecture and cloud infrastructure powering our customer and operational platforms. You will build secure, scalable systems supporting EV charging and home electrification products. Our Technology Stack Laravel 11 • PHP 8.3 • PostgreSQL 16 • Redis • OpenSearch • Docker • Terraform • Bitbucket Pipelines • Cloudflare • Nginx Key Responsibilities Backend Engineering · Design and build secure, scalable APIs. · Optimise databases, caching and background processing. · Implement authentication, security and API standards. Infrastructure & DevOps · Design cloud infrastructure using Terraform. · Build CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation. · Manage Docker environments, monitoring and observability. Technical Leadership · Establish engineering standards and best practices. · Mentor developers and contribute to technical direction. · Support platform scalability and future growth. About You Must Have · 5+ years backend engineering experience. · Strong Laravel, PostgreSQL, Docker, Terraform and CI/CD skills. · Strong system design and troubleshooting capability. · Australian working rights. Desirable · Multi-tenant SaaS experience. · OpenSearch, Kubernetes or AI integrations. · React familiarity.
