About the Role They're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team building scalable APIs and backend services that power modern eCommerce and customer loyalty experiences. Responsibilities Designing, developing and maintaining high-performance REST and gRPC services using .NET and C#Building scalable backend solutions that support digital commerce and customer engagement platformsCollaborating with product managers, architects and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutionsProducing clean, maintainable and well-tested code with a focus on performance, reliability and scalabilityCreating and maintaining API documentation and technical standardsMonitoring application performance and identifying opportunities for optimisationParticipating in Agile ceremonies, code reviews and sprint planningTroubleshooting production issues and supporting critical applications when requiredMentoring junior developers and contributing to engineering best practicesHelping drive continuous improvement across development processes and platform architecture Qualifications 5+ years' experience developing enterprise software using C# and .NET/.NET Core Required Skills Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIsExperience developing solutions within eCommerce or high-volume transactional environmentsSolid knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL or OracleExperience working with NoSQL technologies including MongoDB or CassandraUnderstanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google CloudFamiliarity with containerisation technologies such as Kubernetes or similar orchestration platformsExperience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies including Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus is highly desirableStrong understanding of software engineering principles, testing methodologies and scalable application designExcellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multidisciplinary teams Preferred Skills Experience with event-driven architectures and messaging technologies including Kafka, RabbitMQ or Azure Service Bus is highly desirable Pay range and compensation package Salary: $115,000 - $121,000 Opportunity to work on large-scale, customer-focused digital platforms Collaborative engineering culture with a strong emphasis on innovation and technical excellence Career progression and the opportunity to mentor and influence technical direction Exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and distributed systems Equal Opportunity Statement If you're an experienced backend engineer looking to work on scalable cloud-based solutions in a fast-paced environment, I'd be happy to tell you more about this opportunity.
