About The Role This is an opportunity to build more than internal systems and work through support tickets. As an Analyst / Developer, you will help design and deliver digital products used by residents, businesses and Council employees across the Sunshine Coast. You could work across customer-facing websites and mobile applications, online services, payments, business platforms, automation, AI-enabled solutions and integrations connecting critical Council systems. Our Development and Integration team has delivered products including the Sunshine Coast Council app, MyCouncil, Tibro, customer service platforms, public websites and major system integrations. You will work directly with stakeholders to understand complex problems, shape practical solutions and take them from initial design through to production. Depending On The Project, You May Work With C# and modern .NETMicrosoft AzureREST APIs and system integrationsReact and TypeScriptMobile and web applicationsCI/CD pipelines and automated testingSQL and data integrationMessage-based and event-driven architectureAI-assisted development and automation At Level 6, you will also provide technical leadership, contribute to solution design, mentor developers and help strengthen engineering practices across the team. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, test and maintain secure applications and system integrationsTranslate business problems into scalable and maintainable technical solutionsDevelop APIs connecting cloud, on-premises and third-party platformsWork directly with stakeholders, developers and technology specialistsContribute to architecture, technical evaluations and technology decisionsParticipate in code reviews and improve development standardsDiagnose complex technical issues and improve application reliabilityMentor team members and share knowledge across the development teamExplore emerging technologies where they can deliver meaningful value This position is based at Sunshine Coast City Hall, in the heart of Maroochydore CBD. This state of the art and sustainable building is designed to achieve an innovative and collaborative workspace. About You You are a capable software professional who enjoys solving difficult problems and building useful products. You have strong experience in C#, .NET and API development, with a focus on secure, maintainable and high-quality software. Experience in several of the following areas will be highly regarded: Microsoft AzureReact or TypeScriptAzure DevOps and CI/CDAutomated testingMessage brokers or event-driven systemsEntity Framework or other ORM technologiesSQL Server and data integrationMobile application developmentCloud security and identityAI-enabled applications or development tools You communicate well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, contribute ideas and enjoy working in a team that values collaboration, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
