Job DescriptionThe System Validation Engineer is responsible for product testing and functional validation activities throughout the development lifecycle to ensure product quality, robustness, and compliance with customer requirements. Location: Tsukuba / Shinagawa (Japan) Language: Japanese (JLPT N2+) or Business English Experience: 5+ years Project Domain: ADAS / Automotive System Validation ResponsibilitiesEnsure functional validation planning and execution are aligned with project commitments and milestones.Define system test strategies based on customer requirements, and risk analysis.Analyze system and functional requirements and allocate appropriate validation strategies.Define functional test plans, test specifications, and support test bench development activities.Design, implement, and execute test cases for system validation.Set up, configure, and maintain testing environments and test benches.Execute validation activities using HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) platforms and other validation tools.Execute automated/manual test scripts on test benches and archive validation reports.Analyze test results and perform first-level root cause investigation of detected issues.Report validation results and identified defects to Validation Leaders and Function Owners.Extend test coverage through robustness, stress, and end-user testing scenarios.Collaborate with development, integration, and customer teams to ensure product quality and delivery targets. RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, or related fields.Minimum 5 years of experience in:System ValidationSystem TestingVerification & Validation (V&V)Automotive TestingStrong hands-on experience in:Validation planning and executionTest case design and implementationTest environment setupTest bench operationHIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop)Defect analysis and troubleshootingGood understanding of automotive system development processes.Experience working with requirement-based testing methodologies.Strong analytical and debugging skills.Able to communicate effectively in:Japanese (JLPT N2 or above) OR Business EnglishWilling to work onsite in Tsukuba/Shinagawa, Japan. Preferred QualificationsExperience in ADAS, Autonomous Driving, Camera, Radar, ECU Validation, or Automotive Embedded Systems.Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols: CAN/CAN FD; LIN; Automotive EthernetExperience with automotive testing tools such as: CANoe; CANalyzer; Vector Tool Chain; dSPACEExperience with test automation or scripting (Python, CAPL, Shell).Knowledge of ASPICE, Functional Safety (ISO 26262), or Cybersecurity is a plus.
