Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join a large-scale enterprise transformation programme.
The successful candidate will play a key role in modernising infrastructure, automating operational processes, supporting CI/CD platforms, and delivering complex migration initiatives across enterprise environments.
This role requires a hands-on DevOps professional with strong Linux expertise, automation skills, and extensive experience working within large, regulated organisations.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and support enterprise DevOps solutions and CI/CD processes.Administer and support large-scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments.Develop and maintain automation solutions using Python, Bash, Ansible, and related technologies.Build, optimise, and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines across multiple platforms.Support platform modernisation and infrastructure transformation initiatives.Collaborate with Infrastructure, Unix, Middleware, Database, Network, and Security teams.Drive operational excellence through automation, monitoring, and observability best practices.Investigate and resolve complex production and non-production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent fixes.Support engineering teams with build, deployment, release, and platform-related activities.Participate in large-scale migration and upgrade programmes, ensuring smooth transition and minimal business disruption.Contribute to DevSecOps practices by embedding security throughout the software delivery lifecycle.Engage with business and technical stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience
8+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Systems Engineering.Proven ability to work independently and proactively drive delivery.Strong experience operating within large enterprise environments.Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.Experience delivering large-scale transformation, migration, or modernisation programmes.Linux & Infrastructure
Expert-level experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).Strong Unix/Linux administration, troubleshooting, and support experience.Experience supporting on-premises infrastructure environments.Knowledge of server lifecycle management, patching, maintenance, and upgrades.Experience collaborating with infrastructure and operational support teams.Scripting & Automation
