Description

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Quality Engineer job southeast of Cleveland, OH (Twinsburg, OH) for our client, a busy manufacturer of quality materials used in the automotive and other industries. The Quality Engineer will support a product line in the manufacturing facility, actively working with the production team and the company's global clients. We are seeking a detailed-oriented, proactive individual ready to champion the quality and reliability of the manufactured products, solve technical issues with production, actively work with clients on quality issues and resolve product defects. Candidates must have experience in IATF 16949/TS16949, audits, root cause analysis and manufacturing experience. Our client offers a competitive salary up to $90,000 per year, based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package. Only local candidates will be considered. Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer job in Twinsburg, OH include: Champion customer corrective actions, interacting with all persons related to corrective actions from production team to the customers and promote a zero-defect culture.Reviewing mixing and molding processes on the shop floor, measure and improve process capability and participate in scrap reduction activities.Coordinate supplier qualification process.Contribute to and improve SOPs.Participate in APQP activities, product launches,Supervise Quality Audit Team, work directly with floor inspection team. Qualifications Five (5) or more years of experience in Quality is preferred for senior level position, two (2) years plus for the Associate level Quality Engineering position.A bachelor's degree in a manufacturing related engineering principle is preferred. Experience in plastics or rubber manufacturing.Experience in the automotive industry, PPAP, IATF 16949 is highly desired.Experience with rubber mixing and rubber molding.Experience with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949Working knowledge of SPC, Process Capability, Metrology, Gage Control, GD&T, DOE, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Internal Auditing, PPAP, Process Flow, FMEA, Control Plan, 3x5 Why, Ishikawa diagrams, Root Cause Analysis.Authorized to work in the United States.
